From your gite in the Gard, set off to explore the Languedoc region

The Domaine de Ceyrac and its fully renovated gites are perfect for exploring the Languedoc from every angle. Visit Nîmes and its majestic Roman ruins: Amphitheatre, the square house, the Tour Magne. And a few kilometres further on, you can admire the world-famous Pont du Gard viaduct. From Nîmes to Uzès there are many local markets well worth a visit.

In summer, explore Avignon during the Festival OFF. Enjoy all kinds of unconventional stage sets and plays in the heart of the city. Then continue on to the lovely town of Arles. Arles has plenty of Roman architecture still standing. It also hosts a famous photo festival: the “Rencontres d’Arles”. A clever mixture of ancient history and contemporary culture that has put the region on the map. And perhaps best of all, the song of the cicadas will continue late into the mild evening, to make your stay unique.

While you’re in your gite in the Gard, it’s a short journey to the many beaches. The Mediterranean is only an hour’s drive from us.  A seaside outing will give you a completely different kind of décor. As you explore the Camargue regional park, you’ll see a unique kind of landscape, made of salt banks, with flamingos as far as the eye can see. You’ll also find breathtaking scenery like the rose-tinted salt marshes of Aigues-Mortes.

With the family, or just the two of you, come and enjoy a country gite where you’ll feel right at home.
